Hey Folks,
I'm trying to set up two flashes off camera and I'm running into a strange problem. I'm controlling the 430ex via the wireless and driving the external wireless trigger via the sync port. Things work fine for a while, but after a while the sync port trigger stops triggering. The 430 continues to fire. If I close the on-board flash, the sync port starts working again. Popping it back up causes it to stop again. It continues this way until I power cycle the camera at which point it starts working again.
Has anyone seen anything like this?
I really like being able to control the 430 via wireless, but I've got the light balanced for two flashes, not one.
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Mike

Hi mcmurdie!
Thanks for posting.
Multiple flash firing methods cannot be used at the same time. If you have something connected to the PC Terminal, it will not work when the built-in flash is used or when a flash is attached to the hotshoe. Only one can be used at a time.
