Check if its stuck becasue of a substance or a piece of sand. Try using a business card corner and run it around the button to see if that helps.
I had that problem once and it freed up the button using that approach.

Hi there,
I think the business card around the edges suggestion is a good one. Otherwise, the button may no longer be flush with it's switch like you said and repair would be necessary to resolve it.
