I cant figure how to set custom 1 or 2 with hdr. Everytime i select hdr and go to register either position. The custom setting gets greyed out. Is this how it is?

It appears that it's not possible to save HDR as a custom setting. All Canon cameras, not just the 6D...the custom option is greyed out.

I'm using my Canon EOS 6D mainly in Av mode and have had the same question: How to store HDR as a custom setting on C1 or C2. Because apparently this isn't possible (I don't understand why not) my workaround is: I am using C1 as my standard Av mode and Av for HDR, i.e. I've registered my Av settings as C1 and am using Av with HDR (and associated settings like JPEG only).
Hope this helps.
Holger
