Canon 450D WB blue light on

Hi. I returned to my camera from a long break. I recharged the battery fully and inserted. The WB blue light is on full-time and no functions are available. LCD screen blank. Can anyone help ?

That button is also the Print/Share button.

DId you try pressing it?

Did you remove the battery and reinstall it?

Yes. I tried removing the battery several times. I also tried connecting the camera for file transfer. Nothing works. All buttons are inoperative.

Did you try removing the SD card?

Trust me I tried with and without the SD. I also tried forcing a download. No response to any actions. Camera is dead apart from the blue WB light.

Sounds like it is dead. Maybe the storage conditions were a problem. In any event I don’t think that repair, if even possible, would be cost effective for a camera of that age.
