Canon 1DX Mk III losing date/time

My Canon 1Dx MkIII has started losing date/time. It stays for a day or two then loses it. My batteries are all in good shape. My firmware is updated to latest Ver1.9.0. I have even reset the camera to factory.
Any idea why this is happening? Thanks.

Greetings,

I think the first thing you'll want to do is back up your settings to an SD card, then perform a factory reset for main and custom settings.  If the behavior continues, you may need to contact Canon.

I believe the 1DX mk III uses an internal capacitor.  Yours might be wearing out or becoming weak.  There's also a charging circuit on the mainboard that might keep the capacitor from being charged properly.

I would suggest registering the camera in your MyCanon account if not already done and initiate an inspection / repair request.  You'll get a quote for the service and should know what to expect.

Thanks Rick. I have performed a factory reset and the issue is still there. I've previously registered my camera and will call support for a repair.
