Can't download photos from EOS Rebel T7 via card reader

I have a T7 and a San Disk 32GB card. FYI: Lenovo laptop, Windows 11, Firefox browser. I insert the card into the card slot, I get the "ding" and the blank screen opens up, the instructions and files pop up. Nothing happens. I let the laptop sit for several minutes to see if it will start to download. Nothing happens. I have used this card before (not locked BTW) and never had this problem. Your help is most appreciated.

I feel like i just saw this exact message. Did Windows do an update recently that could have impacted the way card readers or photo importing works?

Not aware of any Windows update. If there was, I never was contacted or informed about it.
