Hi,
I want to use my DSLR also as a webcam for work conferences/interviews. I have a 750D and bought a Camlink 4k to use it for webcam use but I never knew that the camera does not output live audio so I have to use an external mic connected to the computer but the Camlink processing latency results in mismatched audio and video. I can fix that if Iam using OBS but not if I'm using Zoom, MS Teams or Webex, nor do I want to fiddle with lag settings for every program.
Can someone advise if Canon have an APS-C camera that can output live audio through the HDMI along with video.
I know option B is to get some mic processing box, but that is another topic that I'm not very familiar with, as most of those boxes use either XLR or TS connections and I have no idea about converting the 3.5mm jack or whether the mic is balanced or unbalanced...
This needs to be either budget or prosumer level, nothing in excess of $1000 for body only, and something I can buy used would be better still.
Thanks for the help. Cheers, Jon

Greetings,
A camera with Clean HDMI out should work.

I suggest that you give the experts at B&H, or some other integrator, a call to speak with one of their specialists. Canon does not make what you seem to be looking for. I don't think anyone does.
[EDIT] You need an external microphone and an ATEM.

I will give them a shout. I have heard 80D/90D does output audio over their webcam app, and possibly in hdmi, so might try it out. Failing that, I found a device called a Lindy Lip Sync corrector that I might try out.

I think you may have heard something incorrect. Like I said, you need an external microphone and an ATEM made by Black Box.
