If you don't mind having a throw away shot, you can use the built in Interval Timer.
Set the Interval Timer to whatever delay you want (anywhere from 1 second to 4 days), and 2 photos.
When you press the shutter, the camera will take the first photo immediately, it will then wait and take the second photo after the delay you have set.
See pages 250 and 251 in the manual on how to use the Interval Timer.
