Camera Issue

On my t7 Why do my focus squares not stay green? Sometimes they will turn red and not let me take the picture is there a way to turn that off?

Review your manual starting at page 139. 

The orange squares means camera cannot achieve focus. 

What are you trying to focus on? Are you to close? Does your subject have sufficient contrast to allow focus?

Camera is working as it should. If it can't obtain focus it will not allow you to shoot an OOf pictuer. The"red" warns you of that.
