Hi Randy,
My 2 cents concerning your posts....
Take a look at Ken Rockwell's website. Pro photographer that offers down to earth/no nonsense reviews on all Canon R (mirrorless) cameras and lenses. His reviews led me to purchase the "RP". Previously I owned the EOS 7D. Great camera but a beast to carry for a day. Sold it and bought the Canon M50 which is much smaller and lighter. Great crop sensor camera for still photos but not so hot for 4K video according to many reviews. Video is a non factor for me as I only shoot stills. The entry level, mirrorless RP's ability to capture light makes all previous canon cameras obsolete. And the critique is the RP only shoots a max 5 FPS. Five frames per second to me is still fast! You would have to buy the RF to EF mount adaptor to use your EF 70-200 f/2.8 lens. The adaptor with control ring is excellent but is more expensive than the regular adaptor. But that would be a fantastic combo for your needs. I will be watching to see what you decide. Good luck!
