Best video settings for the EOS R5 Mark II

I have come to the conclusion that the best video setting for the R5ii is to set PQ HDR, turn on HDR and crank the exposure to +3. Everything comes out very nice this way. And you can dial things down nicely on final cut. I'm never shooting at 0 EV anymore.

I did try C log 3 cinema gamut and that requires a ton of work turning the flat image into something decent. PQ on HDR on, +3 EV. Wide open aperture. I also use spot focusing with servo off. Every now and then I will adjust focus by half pressing the shutter.

I was using the RF 70-200 Z lens. The internal zooming. This lens is so much superior to the other lenses that are probably specifically designed for photography. Anyway just placed an order for RF 24-105 Z. They catch on the focus nice and keep the focus a hundred times better than the rest. I don't know what to do with my RF 24-70 2.8. Trade in value is $1000 less than what I paid which is normal but I'm thinking of getting my daughter a camera and giving her the lens.

If you are interested in seeing how beautiful this RF 70-200 Z lens records, here is a video I took during Biketoberfest. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UEmtMtcPksw Now I do not use digital stabilization because every clip gets passed through final cut for better post production stabilization, the optical stabilization is very nice. You just have to find a post a tree to lean against for the most stable shots.

Definitely some nice footage, esimavi! Very clean, nothing crushed or blown out. This makes me want to do some tests with my R5ii. Thanks for sharing.
