7D Mark II wired tether to video record through iPad PRO?

Rosewater42

Hi!

I have a 7D Mark II and have the USB-C wired tether cables and would like to connect to my iPAD PRO (4th generation) for video recording purposes. Is there any app that would allow me to control video record start/stop, LiveView, aperture, and shutter speed? I've been looking everywhere for a wired solution. I have the CamRanger 2 wireless but would like to test out the wired connection as well. Please let me know if there's anything or if I'm mistaken.

Thanks so much!

Sree

Look at Kuuvik Capture in the iOS App Store.

Thanks a lot, John! I bought the Kuuvik capture app and it works great. The only functionality it is missing is to play the video I just recorded through Kuuvik. It saves on the camera, instead of on the IPAD like it does for the photos. Any way to view the recordings from the iPad itself? Do you know?

Thanks so much for your help!

Apparently it is a bandwidth problem for the USB port.

Kuuvik has a free PDF manual you can download from the website.

Oh I see, thanks so much!!! I will stick with CamRanger 2 for this playback feature.
