7D Mark 2 "busy" during Wi-fi remote shutter mode

So I just plugged in my new W-E1 Wi-fi card, I follow all the instructions and I can connect to it with my phone with no problem. I can even access the pictures on camera and download them too my phone via the Canon Camera Connect app. However when I attempt to go into the live view remote shutter mode it hangs and shows "busy" on both the rear lcd and the phone app. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Or does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to remedy this situation? Thanks in advance!

Canon just released an update.  Did you install it?

Yes, I apologize for not mentioning that. I am running the newest firmware 1.1.1 along with the newest version of Camera Connect.

I am having an identical issue.

Camera:

Model: EOS 7D Mk2

Firmware v1.1.1

Smartphone

Model: SM-G935V (Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge - Verizon variant)

Android Version: v7.0

Hardware Version: Rev0.7

All I get is "Busy" (blinking) on my phone & "Busy...Please wait." on the camera. It seems as if it is about to work, but it never gets to.

P.S.: Sorry if this reply duplicates. I tried to use the "quick reply" but didn't see it afterwards.

I am having the same problem, same camera, 1.1.1 firmware. This is a real bummer because I just bought the WiFi adapter (not sure why this wasn't integrated...but I digress).

On cameras with built-in WiFi, you can't connect with a USB cable if WiFi is turned on. I don't know whether it's also true with the 7D2's add-on WiFi card, but it's something to consider.

The Wi-Fi add on does have the same issue, however I am not using a USB cable, just the Wi-Fi adaptor.

I've been going back and forth with Canon customer support, and while they've been helpful with troubleshooting, it appears the problem is with the Canon camera connect app as the remote shutter works just fine in remote shutter mode connected to the Canon utility on my PC. However the camera connect app won't work with my Android phone, Android tablet or an iPad. Think I'm just going to return the thing, maybe I'll try it again in the future.

I got it to work by down grading firmare back to 1.1.0 from 1.1.1

That's discouraging; I just upgraded my wife's 7D2 to 1.1.1.  Smiley Frustrated

We have no interest in on-camera wifi, so I won't care - IF that's the only bug introduced by the upgrade.

Didn't they develop that wifi card specifically for the 7D2?
