Hello all!

This is my first post here. Glad to be a member of the community.

I wanted to shoot at 59.94fps with by canon 80D but this option  is greyed out and I don't know why. Is it because of some other settings?

thanks

Sometimes it is because you need to be in one of the "advanced" shooting modes, PAS or M. What resolution do you want to set?

Are you in PAL mode?

Hello

Thanks for your reply.

I am on M  and I set the resolution at 1920*1080

I am on NTSC

the options available are 23.98P FHD, 29.97P FHD, whereas 59.94p FHD is greyed out

Does it show up with lower resolutions?

Are you making MOV or MP4?

MOV:
1920 x 1080 (Full HD): 30 fps (29.97 fps) / 24 fps (23.98 fps)

MP4:
1920 x 1080 (Full HD): 60 fps (59.94 fps) / 30 fps (29.97 fps) / 24 fps (23.98 fps)
1280 x 720 (HD): 60 fps (59.94 fps) / 30 fps (29.97 fps)

Aaaah, that was the problem. I thought the resolution was s2 1920 X 1080 2,5 M  ... but it was 6000 * 4000

I guess the card cannot record all that info when the resolutio is too high.

I wonder then if it is possible to shoot raw and 59.94fps. I guess you need a card with lots of Gig

Many many thanks!!!

The 80D does not shoot raw movies, only MOV and MP4.

Are you sure?  Because I have the option to shoot raw
