There are many variables beside which body you have. See

It would be nice to know what lenses you have for your T1i. Also, what do you want to shoot? There are many extenders out there, some will work with any camera, but some are lens specific. Basicly, you may want to look at a Kenko 1.6 extender. It will increase your lens view by 1.6 magnification at each zoom level. You can calculate the level by multiplying the actual lens value by 1.6. or you could use a 2X converter, but beware you may loose auto focus. Good luck.

It depends in what lens are you going to use it with...the maximun lens aperture will allow for an accurate recommendation as to the use of a 1.4x or a 2x extender.
