I am thinking to buy Tamron 35-150mm f/2-2.8 or Samyang (Sony E mount) lens for wedding photography.
Is it possible to use it with R6 Mark II body with any adapters.?
Please post your comments. Thanks

The Sony E Mount has a flange distance of 18mm which is less than the 20mm flange distance for the RF mount on the EOS R6 Mark II. Even if an adapter was 0mm thick the lens would not be able to focus on infinity. As such it is not possible to use such lenses on the EOS R6 Mark II.

Brian has nailed the correct response. Sony E-Mount lenses are not compatible with the Canon RF mount system. Ditto for lenses made for almost any other brand of mirrorless camera body.

Why would you buy lenses that do not fit your camera? Do Canon, Sigma, Tamron etc. not make R-mount lenses that would fill your needs?

Canon does not allow third party to make lens for Canon body. Canon, Tamron Sigma do not have this type of lens for Canon body. This is all in one lens for wedding photography. Otherwise we need to carry two camera and two lens. One is 24-70mm and second is 70-200mm. See the cost and trouble of carrying two cameras.

Canon IS now allowing others to make R-mount lenses. You may not find them for sale yet, but they are coming.

If you wish to use a super zoom lens, one with a very wide zoom range, then take a look at the Canon RF 24-240mm zoom lens.
Using two cameras with different lenses is a common practice for wedding photographers. In fact, there may be multiple photographers working together as a team, each with multiple cameras and lenses.

Yes, but do they carry two DIFFERENT camera/lens systems?

Yes they do!
