I am using the 5d Mark ii with a canon 2.8/20mm lens. Problem I am having is with a third pary 3d software and integrating Tiff files.
The dialogs are being thrown up by the 3rd party TIFF library that are being used and indicate some issues with the EXIF data embedded in the image file by the camera. It has to do with my lens specification reading the minimum focal length.
I have done a bit of research on this and found this information from here: http://www.cipa.jp/english/hyoujunka/kikaku/pdf/DC-008-2010_E.pdf
LensSpecification
Value 4 : =
So a couple of questions....why is my camera not setting this value for me? Is there a way that I can manually set the value?
Any thoughts appreciated!

I'm not sure what it is you are looking for. All of the pertinent lens info is available elsewhere in the exif data, per the picture that you posted, under lens?
