I have an r6 and I wanted to get some distance with a lens. I have an old kinda beat up 75-300mm lens. If I send it in to canon would they clean it up for me or repair scratches and the end where a lens hood would go? I know it’s not rated as being a good lens but it’s what I have at the moment. A picture is attached.

It's worth asking canon repair service. Don't be too surprised if the minimum fee is more than the lens is worth though.
Are you sure it really needs repair? Lenses can have surprisingly bad scratches (or mold) before it affects the pictures

I haven’t really tried it. My R6 is currently being serviced so I can’t try it right now anyway. Also, what is the part where a lens hood would attach to called? That for sure is damaged.

That part has various names because it does several things. The inner side is the filter ring ,or filter thread. The outer side is the hood bayonet. You could probably also say the 'front most plastic part' and everyone will know which part you mean🙂.
If that's damaged it's possible the inner workings are bad, but that's not a certainty. It's still worth trying it before spending much

No versions of that lens are on the Canon repair list. Products Subject to the Repair Period|Canon
The scratches may not impact image quality; give it a try. I am assuming you have (or know you need) an EF-RF adapter. Get the Canon version.
