This is true but sometimes a reasonable recommendation can't be made if an unreasonable limit is placed on it. Unfortunately photography is not a cheap hobby. But in reality most hobbies are not 'cheap' either.

Thanks for connecting those dots together Rick.  I must admit I missed that.

@bayerb, it is important to post in each thread you start any criteria that may impact your needs and constraints - in this case, it would have been better and more helpful to you and us to combine the two inquiries.

That said, I will concur that  the budget is so limiting as to be virtually impossible to fulfil - especially when taking the two genres into account that may require different solutions.
