Looking to buy a new setup but not sure what to get

I’ve been using a rebel t100 body with a EF 75-300mm lens for a few years. I do a fair bit of wildlife photography and I’m wondering if it would be worth it to upgrade? I like the pictrures I take, however I wouldn’t mind the option of something with image stabilization.

Thanks in advance.

Do you find yourself wanting a little more reach?

Do we have a budget?

Are you talking lens upgrade? body upgrade? both?

Hey kevin11, welcome to the site.

You don't mention a budget so I will just throw out some suggestions based on my experience. I currently own 3 R bodies (R5, R6 MkII and R3) with IBIS and all of them perform better as it relates to focus and image stabilization then my 5D Mk IV and my 90D. Both are still great bodies but the newer system added focal points, focus speed and IBIS allow me to grab images at much slower shutter speeds.

The R3 and R6 MkII perform better in low light and early morning, overcast skies and late evening are my go to bodies. The lower MP (24) keep me honest and I attempt to fill the frame to limit my cropping if I plan on printing. The R5 still preforms well in moderate low light but he extra MP (45) are always a benefit. Honestly depending on your budget you can't go wrong with anything listed below, they will all be an upgrade. The lenses you own will perform well, don't make the same mistake I made and mess with 3rd party adapters go with the simple EF/RF adapter without the control ring for $130. If you have a little extra cash the RF200-800 and RF100-500 are both great lenses for wildlife.
