So I have a Canon EOS 250d and I bought a used Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5,6 lens. When I mounted the lens on my camera and only while using live view I noticed a constant weird sound, can't really explain it well but I left a mediafire link so you can hear it yourself. What could be the cause of this sound? Again, it's present even if i'm not focusing and even with the IS off and manual focus.

Greetings,
If the noise only occurs with one newly acquired used lens, I'd return it. Buying used equipment can be positive or negative depending on the source. I recommend buying used gear from stores like KEH, Lens Rentals, B&H or Adorama. Avoid purchasing from Amazon marketplace, eBay, etc. Lenses from private parties and these sellers are not often checked for proper operation or function. Some times a good deal, it too good to be true.
