Hi all,
I have a EF-S 17-55 f/2.8 IS USM Lens I bought second hand about 12 years ago. It had an issue at the time so I replaced the ribbon cable and it's been fine until recently.
It seems that I should have used loctite on the screws because the one securing the barrel/zoom ring tab has come loose. It's the part that grips the inner barrel to the outer zoom ring. I couldn't find it inside the lens so it seems to be lost. It's about 1.66mm in diameter (including threads) and 2.46mm long (including the head).
Could anyone assist with a part # or source where I can purchase said screw?
Thanks,

Loctite or a drop of any two part epoxy will work. Good luck on finding the screw as some products have odd specifications for them.

I've taken some more measurements of the thread and I'm fairly sure it's a L2.5mm M1.7x0.35mm so I'm going to try to find a generic countersunk replacement.
I can only find 3mm screws though so if that proves too long I might have to try to grind it down.
