Dear Sir/Madam
I am having troubles mounting Canon EF 28mm f/2.8 (old version) lens to my Canon 6D. It fits fine but it won't turn and lock. It moves a few milimeters and get stuck. Any help would be appreciated.

Check that there isn't any damage or distortion to the lens mount on the lens (assuming other lenses mount OK). If other lenses also have a problem check for damage to the mount on the camera.

If it won't turn and lock, it IS NOT fitting fine. Do other EF (not EF-S) lenses turn and lock OK on this body? If so, the lens mount is damaged. Is there another body available to try the lens on? Whatever you do, DON'T FORCE IT.

"It moves a few milimeters and get stuck."
My guess it was dropped on its mounting flange and it got bent or a nick in it. Examine it carefully.
"Whatever you do, DON'T FORCE IT." <----That! 😕
