Just bought this and attached it to my Canon R3.. When changing the apertures it only opens to 2.0. What am I doing wrong?

Greetings,

What shooting mode are you in when doing this?  Try Av.

Custom Settings 2 allows you to specify the ISO range.

Set aperture range

Set aperture range

You can set the aperture value range. In [Flexible-priority AE], [Aperture-priority AE], [Manual exposure], or [Bulb] mode, you can set the aperture value manually within your specified range. In [Program AE] and [Shutter-priority AE] mode, or in [Flexible-priority AE] mode with the aperture value set to [AUTO], the aperture value is set automatically within your specified range. Select [OK] to register the setting.

Max. aperture

Can be set in a range of f/1.0–f/64.

Min. aperture

Can be set in a range of f/91–f/1.4.

Rick most likely has the answer check the aperture range. See if it is set to f2 to ?.
