what does it mean to set PC to start scanning>

I am trying to scan a picture from my printer to my laptop but it is asking me to set PC to start scanning.

Hi I am trying to scan a picture through my printer to my phone but it is asking me to "set PC to strat scannning" What am I doing wrong.. What do I have to do? Thanks.
