Hi Guys

I have a canon printer with an inbuilt scanner. It has always worked until just recently. I haven't done anything new or changed anything.

the error when i click to aut-scan after a message saying 'scanner is warming up' is

'internal error occured. Scanner driver will be closed. Code 520254

Please help I've looked at alot of posts and suggestions over the last few days and nothing has worked. Drivers are up-to-date etc

Hi, casperlol!

Thanks and have a great day!

Hi It's a canon MG5100

Hi casperlol,

Canon USA does not manufacturer a MG5100, do you instead own the PIXMA MG5120?  Additionally, what operating system are you running?

umm ok obviously in the wrong type of canon forum? lol I am in Australia, and it is definately mg5100. I have completely reinstalled my OS which is 8.1. so will see if that helps. I might download a different software package than what i originally had before i wiped everything off my PC. Will test it tomorrow.
