printer is not loading paper. then saying paper is jammed

My printer is not loading the paper to print. But when I try to print it says that the paper is jammed. What can I do?

I have a PIXMA MX 300 printer, I'm using Windows 7 OS. The paper will not feed, there is no paper stuck in the machine and turning it off and on won't clear it.
