printer Canon Pixma MP510, suddenly skips a line when printing

So this printer prints a line and skips the other and so one. I have a attached a printed page to see. All the empy spaces were not printed. What could be the problem? Any help will be much appreciated

Exact thing happened to me. I uninstalled/reinstalled latest print driver but to no avail. This sucks! Everything was fine until the latest Windows 7 Pro Updates were installed on my PC. Possibly a .net framework compatibility issue. Come on Canon. FIX THIS!
