my pixma mx922 won't feed from tray 2. I get an edit that tray 1 has no paper.

my pixma mx922 won't feed from the lower tray. I keep getting an edit that the upper tray is empty.  I only use the upper tray for photo prints.

what am I doing wrong?

Hello.

The printer will feed from tray 1 if a smaller paper size has been selected before printing.  Check the printer settings on your computer to make sure that Letter or A4 is the selected paper size before printing.
