mg3220 please help

Just got my printer. mg3220. Downloaded the canon app on my samsung galaxy4 phone.  When I goto detect printer it says no printer is able to be detected. Do I have to first set it up with the cable and my pc first? Or  can I go right out the box to mobile printing? If I can how exactly do I do that?

Hello.

The printer will first have to be connected to your Wi-Fi router using the initial setup.  Please use the installation disk with your computer and follow the steps during the setup.  You will have to temporarily connect the printer to your computer to complete the process.

Once the setup is complete, you should be able to use the Easy PhotoPrint app with your Android device.
