MAXIFY MB2720 Unable to find installed software

i have tried several times to install the utilities for this printer only thing that ever shows up is (my printer and manual) and nothing that would allow you to scan or anything else it says the software is there but unable to access it

So that the Community can help you better, we need to know exactly which operating system is running on your computer (i.e. Windows or macOS, and which version thereof). That, and any other details you'd like to give will help the Community better understand your issue!

Hi cannon11,

First, let's reinstall the drivers. Please turn your MAXIFY MB2720 off and then follow these steps:

1. On your computer, please press the Windows key on your keyboard and the letter I, then let both go.

2. Click on "Bluetooth & devices" on the left side.

3. On the right side, click on "Printers & scanners".

4. Click on the Canon MB2700 series. In the new window, click "Remove" at the top.

5. Repeat until all MB2700's have been removed from the Printers list.

6. Close the Printers window once complete.

Next, we will download the latest driver:

1. Please click this link: Canon Support for MAXIFY MB2720 

2. Click on Software & Drivers.

3. Choose "Windows" from the Operating System drop down and then "Windows 11" from the Version drop down.

4. Click the Download button to the right of "Print Driver and Scan Utility Installer Ver.1.02 (Windows)". Note: you may have to click the "Load More" button to locate this.

5. Once that file finishes, please open or run that file to begin the installation on your computer. If you have to search for the file first, the files name is: "m68n-win-mb2700-1_02-ea34_2.exe"

6. Follow the on screen prompts to reinstall. Please do not turn your printer back on until the installation prompts you to.

Once reinstalled, please click the Windows button at the bottom of your screen and click on "All" or "All apps".

In the list that appears, click on the Canon Utilities folder and then the IJ Scan Utility.

You can use the IJ Scan Utility to scan with your MAXIFY MB2720.

no app called ij scan utility even though it shows as app bu only lets me uninstall
