Windows 11 and PIXMA MG 3520

I have an HP Pavilion and was recently forced to change to Windows 11.  My always dependable PIXMA MG 3520 refuses to print or scan, and the Canon website does not show a Windows 11 driver.  A friend who works in IT tried for 2 hours to install a driver, including using a USB cord.  We used the Canon website and you tube for instructions. The printer error lights blink 5 times and say they cannot find the cartridges, both of which are fairly new. I also replaced the black inkjet.

I should not be forced to buy a new printer.  This one has never failed.

Is there an easy-to-install Windows 11 driver?

Thanks for letting us know what Canon product you've got. The PIXMA MG3520 is an older model which we have retired. While that means that Canon USA no longer offers direct support for it, your friends here in the Canon Community are welcome to offer suggestions!

I won't be buying another Canon because of the planned obsolescence.  A perfectly good printer will have to go to the dump.

And I am stuck with two inkjets (total $70+), one of which I opened while trying to solve the problem, so will not be returnable.

The MG3520 is supported under windows 11.

I found a driver for it on the product's support portal.

I tried this several times with no success…got cannot detect printer…unplugged etc…what am I missing here??
