Hello hersalud2004.

The community is eager to assist! To ensure the most accurate information is provided, we’ll need to know the version of Windows or Mac in use, as well how you have the printer connected (USB or wireless.) We look forward to hearing back from you!

I'm having the same issue, running on a Mac 10.8.5. I can print and copy, but not scan. It says PC not connected. I updated the driver and nothing...

Hi sgleba,

Is your printer connected wirelessly or via USB cable?

I am having the same problem.  I am using a mac with Os 10.9.5 running system.  I am wireless connected.  I can print and copy but not scan.  Printer says not connected to PC Help!!

Hi smrdhdmom,

To resolve this, please follow these steps:

1. Click on the Canon IJ Network Scan icon in the upper right hand corner.

2. Click on Open Settings.

3. Click Register Scanner.

4. The Twain Data Source Name should read Canon MX432 Series Network. Click on the MAC address and then click Apply.

5. Make sure that the PIXMA MX432 has a checkmark next to it in this list.

6. Click OK. Once the MX432 is selected, please make sure that the MX432 is selected in MP Navigator as well.

To do this, please follow these steps:

1. Open your Applications folder, click on the Canon Utilities folder and then open the MP Navigator.

2. Click on the Preferences button.

3. The PIXMA MX432 that should be selected is the network attached, not the USB attached. The network PIXMA MX432 will be named PIXMA MX432 (xxx) with the mac address of the unit in parenthesis, just as it appeared in the Canon IJ Network Scan Utility.

4. Click OK. Scanning should now be possible over your network.

I have a PC and a Canon PXMA 492. When I first bought the Canon it defaulted to scan all pages into one pdf and then prompt to save. Now it scans each as an individual image and goes directly to Image Garden. How do I return to the default setting or change the settings?

marisolmeza,

Try using the IJ Scan Utility program to scan your document.  The program can be found in the Canon Utilities listing of the Start Menu (Windows) or Applications folder (Mac).
