The rear tray will not disengage on my PIXMA TS9521ca?

So that the Community can help you better let us know exactly what is happening with the rear tray and if there is an error message?

No error message. Just keeps looping back and forth between selecting cassette tray….accepting cassette tray…. confirming cassette tray selection…..

Then as it begins to print,  the rear tray icon appears in the window with the ink levels, etc……and then it says to add paper (because there is no REAR paper involved). 
This was not a problem yesterday. Even if I set it up remotely on the printer app or google drive mode, it always refuses to print from the cassette and insists to print from the rear tray.

i can find nothing in the manual to help.

i find similar questions in the forum, but I can’t see where any solutions are listed. Am I just missing something? I am new to this. Thanks.

A couple of other questions: Are you on Windows or macOS, and have you installed the Canon software and drivers on the computer?
