I bought this printer brand new, it won't print true black. The blacks appear grey / purple and the whole image (I'm trying to print photos) is just hazy, not sharp.
I have googled, searched and searched forums but there is no direct answer.
I'm using Photoshop (or any software, it's all the same), various papers, plain, glossy, semi-gloss, no difference. I bought new cartridges, still the same, it just refuses to print back!
I have been through all the settings, photoshop manages colours, printer manages colours, dropped every box down, changed every setting, nothing changes. I am about to put this thing in the bin and go and buy a different one. Does anyone know why this printer won't print black?
The nozzle check pattern works fine, it prints true black.

Can anyone at all help with this, I am not getting anywhere?

Thanks for the help and advice....
I have now solved the problem, I got rid of the Canon printer, put it in the bin and bought a completely different brand, all now works fine.
