TR-7020 Printing Light- Checked All Usual Suspects

KelliKelliKelli

Appreciate any help! My Canon TR-7020 is printing light, faded-looking images. Not streaky or striped, just light. My ink levels are good, the ink cartridges are genuine, not third party, and were made in 2024. The nozzle check comes back okay, but I still ran the cleaning and deep cleaning options to be safe. I took the cartridges out and shook them (a suggestion I read somewhere). I've rebooted, I've tried a couple different types of paper, I reset the settings, I've checked for firmware updates. I've tried printing a couple of different files to make sure it isn't just a glitch with a particular file. I'm tapped out of ideas but have no idea what the issue could be. Would be VERY grateful for any help.

Hi KelliKelliKelli,

Please print another nozzle check following these steps:

1.  Please turn your PIXMA TR7020 on.

2.  Load plain paper in the cassette of your PIXMA TR7020.

3.  Press the OK button on your PIXMA TR7020 one time.

4.  Use the down arrow to select Maintenance and press OK.

5.  Press OK on Nozzle check.

6.  Then select Yes and press OK.

A test page will print.

Once that page prints, please take a picture of that page and then reply to this post with that image attached.

Weirdly, the problem seems to have mostly resolved itself. I still have no idea why!
