TR 4722 ink intensity

Hello- I have a new printer and I have tried everything in the manual to lighten up the ink, but nothing is working.  I keep wasting paper and ink and getting the same result.  Is there anything else I can try or maybe I am doing something wrong.  PLEASE HELP!

• Are you trying to print documents or photos? 
• Do you have a copy of a nozzle check from the printer you can attach to your reply?
