I have a new laptop, windows 8.1. When I download driver/software for my existing pixma 250, and try to use Solution Menu to scan and save, the solution menu opens but is blank. I have downloaded several times, but can't get it to work.
The Solution Menu is really just a shortcut program to other installed canon software. If you just installed the solution menu and the driver, there would be no other programs to access. You'd need to install MP Navigator for scanning and Easy Photo Print EX for photo printing.
