Scanning from Canon MX922

I have multiple pcs (mix of Apple and Windows) on the network with the 922 printer. One of those laptops (windows) is set as the default in the scanner and so all scans only go to that computer. How can I either add others or change the default? Thanks

Hi Johnf,

Please try reinstalling your PIXMA MX922 on your Mac.  Please follow the steps below to uninstall the printer driver:

 1.  Double-click the Mac HD.

 2.  Double-click the Library folder.  The default behavior of Lion is to hide your user Library folder. To get to it Option-click the Go Menu in the Finder and choose Library.

 3.  Double-click the Printers folder.

 4.  Move the Canon folder to Trash.  Note: If you have any other Canon printers installed, they will need to be reinstalled as well.

 5.  Open the hard disk icon again and double-click the Library folder.

 6.  Double-click the Receipts folder.

 7.  Move any files related to the PIXMA MX922 to the Trash.

Please use the following steps to download the software for your unit from Canon's web site:

 1.  Visit Canon's website at:    http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/support/consumer

 2.  Type PIXMA MX922 in the "Enter Your Model Name" box and click GO.

 3.  On the Support page for your unit, click the 'Drivers & Software' link in the middle of the page.

 4.  UNder Recommended For You, please click on the MX920 series Mini Master Setup.

 5.  If you agree, please select the checkbox next to "I have read and agree to the terms of the Disclaimer and wish to continue with the download".

 6.  Click on the Download button.

 7.  A File Download box should appear and the file will be saved automatically.

 8.  Once the download is complete, close all windows.

To install the unit for use over your network wirelessly, please follow these steps:

 1.  Press the <Menu> button on your PIXMA MX922.

 2.  Select Setup and press the <OK> button.

 3.  Select Device settings and press <OK>.

 4.  Select LAN settings and press <OK>.

 5.  Select Wireless LAN setup and press <OK>.

 6.  Select Other setup and press <OK>.

 7.  Select Advanced setup and press <OK>.

 8.  Follow the on screen prompts to complete the setup.

 9.  Double click [mms_-mac-mx920-1_0-mcd.dmg] to install your PIXMA MX922.

Files will extract, follow the prompts to complete installation.

Once reinstalled, please attempt to scan.
