Scanner not working on my MX882 printer. I have a MAC running MAC OS Sierra Version 10.12.2

How do I correct the problem. I have shut down the system and rebooted. The printer still won't scan. however it will print copies.

Hello.
A few different items will have to be installed. The CUPS Printer Driver, Scanner Driver and MP Navigator will be needed in order for you to scan.
Visit www.usa.canon.com and search for your product to access the latest downloads.
