Printer won't print and stuck on creating printer data (canon MG5400 series)

Everytime I try and print, the printer information comes up as creating printer data. I have uninstalled and reinstalled printer. I have restarted computer. I have hard stopped and started printer. Unsure what to change or what is going on.

If you are using a Mac, what version of OSX is installed?

Are you using your PIXMA MG5420 wirelessly?
or with a USB cable?
