Printer slow and hesitant

My new canon pixma TS 6200 takes a very long time like 5 to 10 minutes to print a single page.

1. Is the printer connected wirelessly or with a printer usb cord?
2. Are you printing a document or a picture?
3. What version of Windows or Mac are you running?
4. If you try to make a copy directly from the printer does that take a long time to print as well.
