I have a Pixma Canon MG255 and my hp laptop is saying that when I want to do a test print with my printer there is an error. I'm trying to use the printer with my hp laptop without the disc because my laptop doesn't take discs. How can I do that?

Thanks for joining the conversation, Jessica96!
So that the Community can help you better, we need to know exactly which Canon printer model you're using. To date, Canon USA hasn't produced a printer with the model number "MG255" so we want to make sure we know what you've got. That, and any other details you'd like to give will help the Community better understand your issue!

I got the serial number can I send that to you?

Thanks for the offer, though that shouldn't be necessary. Our PIXMA MG-series printers generally have 4-digit model numbers and your post only provides a 3-digit number. If you could take another look at your printer, that would help us out. Your Canon printer's model number should be displayed prominently on the top and/or front of the unit.
