I have a Pixma MP495 and the printer alignment appears to be off. Every half inch or so of whatever I am printing is shifted to the right or left of the ribbon above it, back and forth down the page. I assume this is an alignment problem, but the alignment fixes don't seem to work. I am looking for more detailed help.
I have run the automatic print head alignment as well as several iterations of the manual print head alignment functions. I have cleaned and deep cleaned the heads and the test sheet for cleaning comes out normal. One observation is that the manual alignment printed pages don't have the same shift problem that regual printed text does, but instead each line of the alignment page seems to shift to the right from the one above it, making the columns look more like stairs, if you will. Does anyone know what else I can do here?
