I just recently picked up the printer, and I have the 281 ink (blk/c/y/m), and when I start it up and it goes through the language selection then how to install the ink, I put in the 4 ink cartridges into the correct slots; it still keeps staying on the insert ink screen (on the LCD). There is no way to hit next/continue, only a back button. There are 2 slots of ink that has nothing in it, PGBK (280) and PB ?. Do I have to purchase a 2nd or 3rd ink cartridge and fill those slots in order to actually get the printer going or is there a way I'm not seeing to finish setting up the printer to use with just the 281 ink installed?

Hello.
A full set of ink needs to be installed. If any ink tank slot is empty or if a tank is missing, you would need to replace the empty/missing ink in order to clear the error and resume normal operation of the printer.
