Understanding the P02 Error

The P02 error on the Canon Pixma TS 3200 series indicates a communication issue between the printer and the ink cartridges. This often occurs due to problems with the printer cable or the ink cartridge installation.

Troubleshooting Steps

Check the Ink Cartridges

  • Ensure that the ink cartridges are installed correctly.
  • Remove the cartridges and reinstall them to confirm they are seated properly.

Inspect the Printer Cable

  • Verify that the printer cable is not too short. If it is, reposition it to ensure it reaches the left side of the printer where the ink tank is located.
  • Make sure the cable is securely connected to both the printer and the power source.

Reset the Printer

  1. Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  2. Wait for about 2 minutes.
  3. Plug the printer back in and turn it on.

Additional Checks

  • Ensure there are no obstructions inside the printer, such as paper jams.
  • Check for any protective materials or tape that may still be attached to the ink cartridges.

Thank you.  I followed the directions, but it did not clear.  Is there anyway to completely reset the printer?

Thanks for joining the conversation, Ssschwab!

So that the Community can help you better, we need to know exactly which Canon printer model you're using.  To date, we don't appear to have made a printer series named TS3200.  Could you please double-check the model number?

If this is a time-sensitive matter, click HERE search our knowledge base or find additional support options HERE.

Thanks and have a great day!

My exact model is TS 3110 which is sold in Latin America.
