You can try plugging the printer into another outlet. If the lighting bolt indicator is still illuminated and the screen is dark, the printer has experienced a internal hardware failure.
If the printer is still in it's 1 year warranty and you have a copy of the proof of purchase, please call 1-800-OK-CANON (1-800-652-2666), Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM EST they can replace the printer.
If the printer is out of warranty, you qualify for the Canon Upgrade program. This is for out of warranty units which have been diagnosed to require service or are incompatible with a new or upgraded system.
