I cannot figure out for the life of me how to use the film strip on the scanner of my Canon Pixma MX922. The user manuals don't cover this piece I assume because it's not in the other model. Could someone please guide me how to use it on a Mac? I only see how to scan documents and photos. I use the same set ups and it doesn't recongize it. I've tried auto and nothing as well.

Hi lotzmannjm,
The MX922 is not a film scanner. The small 1-inch wide window on the platen is for when using the Automatic Documatic Feeder (ADF). Also the MX922 scanner is a contact image scanner(CIS) scanner, this is not the appropriate scanner for fim scanning. The recommend scanner for lim scanning is an charge-couple device (CCD) scanner.
