Pixma MG7550 Alignment Problem

AfxTwn

Hi, I have Pixma MG7550 printer and I am having issues with the print head alignment, it is producing very wobbly and out-of alignment prints which is particularly noticeable with text or barcodes that need to be scanned when printing returns labels.

Here are some examples of what I mean:

Returns Label PrintReturns Label PrintManual Print Head Alignment PrintManual Print Head Alignment PrintAuto Print Head Alignment PrintAuto Print Head Alignment Print

The first picture shows a returns label I printed out and all the text and barcode itself are very out of alignment and appear wobbly and there is some doubling-up of text causing a blurring to occur. The second picture shows the manual print head alignment printout and a lot of the numbers are missing as well as some streaking in the blocks. The last picture shows an auto print head alignment printout and this shows missing sections of some of the blocks and lots of streaking, this is particularly noticeable the further down the page you go and seems to mostly effect the black/grey blocks.

I have tried cleaning the nozzles and when I print a nozzle check pattern, this appears to be absolutely fine (apart from some slight doubling of the PGBK pattern), there is no streaking or missing sections in any of the colours. I have also changed any cartridges that were running low (this was yellow, magenta, cyan and grey - both black and PGBK have around half a tank left).

I have also done cleaning of the rollers, base plate and I cleaned the encoder/timing strip as best as I could using some IPA on a cotton bud but still the issue persists. Is there anything else I can do or is this an indication that a part needs replacing or something is wrong inside the machine?

I'd appreciate if anyone can help with this. Thanks very much

Andrew
