Pixma MG5320 stopped printing black, colors are OK

Some time ago, on default print quality settngs, the black would go faint/incomplete on the last few lines of a page. If there were more pages, each would start fine but have poor quality towards the bottom. I changed quality setting from standard to high and the problem seemed fixed. The last few days the poor quality near page bottoms returned. Now the black will not print at all, even after a fresh cartridge and head cleaning. Colors print OK. Do I need to replace the print head?

Actually, removing the ink tanks & placing the print head in a shallow dish of Windex for 2-3 hours helped produce a nozzle test print that was sharp as a tack, black included.

Hi PMHilton,

Because replacing the ink tank and performing printhead cleanings did not get black to print, it is recommended that you contact live technical support . There is NO charge for this call. Real time feedback of a live technical support call would be very beneficial in this case.
